Preparing healthy meals and snacks is one of the best ways to make sure that you are always reaching for something nutritious.

Whether you need a simple to-go breakfast, mid-day snack, pre or post workout meal, a smoothie might just be one of the easiest things to whip up. And even more so if you prep your smoothies in advance.

To do this, all you need to do is store your main ingredients into a Ziplock baggie and freeze it. That way all you need to do is grab whichever flavor option you are in the mood for whenever you are hungry.

Not only does this make it a quick and convenient way to make a meal in a few seconds, it also prevents ingredients like spinach and fruits from going bad.

So what kind of smoothie is perfect as a meal replacement or post-workout snack? It’s peanut butter jelly time!

Here’s how to make the Peanut Butter Jelly Smoothie.

Ingredients:

1 cup spinach

1 cup strawberries

1 cup banana

Almond milk

Peanut butter

Directions:

Take out your spinach, strawberry, banana prepared bag from the freezer.

Place in into blender with almond milk, 1-2 tbsp. peanut butter.

The color will be green, but you will not taste the spinach at all. The strawberries will give the smoothie it’s jelly taste, making it feel like you are slurping on a PB&J.
